Oba is the Largest District of Alanya
Oba is one of the oldest districts in Alanya. It is located on the border with the city center and stretches along the Obaçay River – from the first coastline to the very foot of the Taurus Mountains. The area of the district is more than 15,000 km2.
For convenience, the region is divided into upper and lower Oba. The first is closer to the mountains, and there are many modern complexes with luxurious infrastructure, new microdistricts are being built up. There are mountain views, pure air, silence and many orchards.
Lower Oba is a microdistrict from the sea to the main highway in the center. There are sandy beaches with a convenient entry, many hotels and apartment complexes, a beautiful promenade.
Both the lower and the upper Oba have the most developed urban infrastructure, the area is ideal for year-round living, and rent is always in demand during the tourist season.
Real Estate
In the Oba area, there are both old Turkish buildings and modern residential complexes from business to super premium class, with luxurious infrastructure – swimming pools landscaped gardens, gyms, and cinemas on their own territory.
Lower Oba are low-rise buildings, erected no higher than five floors. At the Upper Oba complexes are up to 9-12 floors. And closer to the foot of the Taurus Mountains, premium villas and townhouse complexes with individual land plots and internal infrastructure are being built.

District Infrastructure
Oba is an urban area with all the necessary infrastructure. It is here that the city administration building and all the main state structures will be located soon.
Here is the main shopping center of the city – Alanium, as well as hypermarkets “METRO cash & carry”, Koctas. In Oba, there is a microdistrict of workshops where local craftsmen make windows, doors, furniture, and cars are also repaired here.
In Oba there is the Hamdulla Emin Pasa University, as well as branches of the largest private Turkish colleges: Bahcesehir, TED, Anadolu. And, of course, public schools, kindergartens, sections, and clubs for children and adults.
Among the medical facilities in Oba are the large Başkent Hospital, the diagnostic clinic of the Aladdin University, the ALKÜ hospital, the laser therapy center, the dialysis center, and, of course, the dental clinics and pharmacies.
Attractions
The main advantage of the Oba district is its location. It is very close to the city center, which means that all the sights of Alanya are literally within walking distance for the residents of the Oba district.
But the center of attraction of the district, of course, is its embankment – well-maintained, beautiful, and ever-blooming.
